Congressman, I’ve voted for and supported you in the past, but your new direction is not the right direction for our country. It’s time for you to come home and give someone else a chance.
Congressman, your seniority has helped South Carolina in many ways, but Nancy Pelosi’s spending is out of control and unfortunately she’s co-opted you in her scheme. I’m supporting Mick Mulvaney.
Congressman, I voted for John McCain and you last year. As Budget Committee Chairman, you should have stopped all these new spending programs and told Nancy Pelosi, “NO!” Because you didn’t, we now have record deficits. I won’t be voting for you in 2010.
Congressman, 28 years is long enough. Please come home—it’s time for you to live under the laws you’ve been passing all these years.
Congressman, I am one of those Republicans who have voted for you in the past. I will not be voting for you this year. You have lost your independence and that’s what we liked so much about you.
