Now that Election Day has come and gone, I want to thank you again for all the support you have given me and my family this time around. I am honored to serve and represent you in Congress for another two years.
I can promise you that I will continue to vote the way I’ve said I would. Regardless of how the national races fared, my constituents – you – have re-elected me to continue what I’ve started. My number one priority will continue to be jobs. We have to get our debt under control if we have any hope of averting the fiscal crisis that is crippling our economy. There is much to do in the coming months – the expiring Bush/Obama tax cuts and sequestration being at the top of the list.
In the next two years, I will work tirelessly to keep you informed of what’s going on in Washington. I will continue to hold town hall meetings around the Fifth District with the hopes of talking to as many of you as I can. My job is to have the courage to tell you the truth about the issues our country is facing, and I promise to do just that.
Again, I thank you for everything you have done to help my campaign. I look forward to representing you in the next two years.
